Eggless Cookies - Tollhouse Inspired

One of Bailey's favorite treats is chocolate chip cookies - it's my favorite treat as well! :-)

I found that there area a couple ways that you can make cookies egg free. I am using Nestle's Tollhouse recipe and altering it for egg free.

2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened
3/4 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon Baking Powder
1/2 applesauce (you can also use the cinnamon applesauce which tastes pretty good also)
2 cups (12-oz. pkg.) Chocolate Chips


If you don't have applesauce, you can use a banana. A general rule that I have learned is that half a banana equals one egg. I prefer the applesauce version though. I think it tastes better.
